In an effort to fulfill the mission of Mount St. Joseph University, support the health and well-being of our students and employees, and meet our civic responsibility to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, the University has transitioned to “remote work status” for all faculty and staff—until further notice. During this time, we are only able to process electronic transcripts, generally within 1-3 business days.

AT THIS TIME, WE ARE NOT ABLE TO PROCESS ANY REQUESTS FOR PAPER TRANSCRIPTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. We do apologize for any inconvenience.

Effective February 2020, the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) is our preferred vendor for processing all transcript requests.

You may request that an electronic transcript be securely delivered to a recipient via email (including yourself) or you may elect to have it sent directly to any of the NSC in-network colleges, universities, and organizations. While electronic delivery of your official transcript through the National Student Clearinghouse is highly recommended, a paper transcript can also be mailed to a recipient. MSJ only releases official transcripts; we do not release unofficial transcripts.

All financial obligations to the Mount must be resolved before we can release your transcript.

The cost to order an official transcript through the National Student Clearinghouse is:

  • $6.25 per electronic transcript recipient (allow 1-3 business days for processing)

Major holidays may prolong processing time.

Please note the following:

  • Express Mail is not available at this time through NSC.
  • By law, the Mount cannot issue copies of documents from other institutions.
  • During the order process, additional documents needed to accompany your transcript may also be uploaded at the Clearinghouse site and sent to your recipient.
  • Your credit or debit card is not charged until the Mount sends your transcript(s). However, if you use a debit card, your bank may put a hold on your funds when NSC pre-authorizes your payment. If you have questions on the pre-authorization, please contact your bank. Order updates will be sent to you from NSC via email and, if you choose, text messages. You can also track your transcript order online.

Any questions regarding orders or consent forms should be directed to NSC’s Customer Service at service@studentclearinghouse.org or 703-742-4200.
