Neuroscience

Neuroscience examines behavior in a variety of organisms as well as human emotion and thought.

The Neuroscience major is no longer accepting students. Students interested in the career potential and program outcomes listed here should apply to the Biomedical major.

As a neuroscience major, you will study the brain, spinal cord and neurons and how they interact with the body to control processes such as sleep, memory and movement.

You'll also explore the biological and psychological bases of disorders such as Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, autism and more.

Our neuroscience curriculum integrates both foundational and advanced courses in psychology and biology with foundational courses in chemistry, mathematics, physics, and philosophy. We challenge you to investigate the mysteries of the mind, body and emotions in exploring connections to other fields as well.

There are two academic tracks to chose from: Biology Track with Psychology Minor and Psychology Track with Biology Minor.
