Biology Minor

A minor in biology blends knowledge of basic scientific processes with an appreciation of the phenomenon of life.

Requirements span a wide range of subjects, from microbiology and ecology to chemistry and special research projects that provide a solid scientific foundation.

The Biology Department encourages biology research with faculty and in faculty-approved external opportunities. To support the research experience, the department houses research facilities in molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, bioanthropology, ornithology and entomology. Our state-of-the-art equipment and instrumentation provide unique research opportunities not typically found in a small university setting.
