Catherine Relihan Scholarship for MAGELIN Program
The Catherine Relihan Scholarship is awarded to one student each year who enters the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN - MAGELIN) program.
The scholarship is up to $4,000 to be distributed over the 4 semesters of the program. Catherine Relihan graduated from the College of Mount St. Joseph in 1956 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She had a rich career practicing medical-surgical, obstetric and gerontology nursing in her home state of West Virginia before continuing her education in graduate nursing. Catherine ended her career as coordinator of practical nursing education for her local school system. Her passion was to assist adults to enter the nursing profession.

To be eligible, candidates must:
- be accepted to the MSN - MAGELIN program
- have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.4
- submit an application
- submit an essay describing their aspirations for personal and professional development in the program
If chosen, candidates will be invited to be interviewed by a selection committee.
